Curriculum Vitae
Research Gate Profile

I am a postdoctoral fellow of the Enns Entomology Museum in the Division of Plant Sciences at the University of Missouri.  My research focuses on the study of insect systematics and biogeography.  I am particularly interested in the study of different aquatic families of the infraorder Nepomorpha (Hemiptera: Heteroptera).  In recent years, I have been working on the taxonomy of species in the genus Ambrysus Stål (Heteroptera: Naucoridae: Cryphocricinae), which is the most species-rich genus in the family Naucoridae and it is distributed from northern United States south to Argentina, with the greatest number of species reported from Mexico.

At the present time, I work in Dr. Eggert’s lab on a project that investigates the phylogenetic relationships among the species of saucer bugs in the subfamily Cryphocricinae based on DNA sequences.
